It seems you can't set both options ON, when HDR is ON it overrides whatever setting DCR is at. so I'd check if you have set DCR ON and HDR OFF. This sounds like what's happening to you. If I'm using a sniper and I am scoped in, this will cause the outside edges to turn black. This is a big issue in shooting games recently for me.
